GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR!!
Omeath will be hosting their annual Donkey Derby this weekend Saturday 31st July & Sunday 1st August in the Big Field and the antics promise to liven up the sleepy hills of The Cooley Peninsula!
The full programme of activities range from whacky to traditional. This year sees the introduction of new events such as a Donkey Jousting match, It’s a Knockout and the Cornamucklagh FULL MONTY debut. Old favourites like the Petting Zoo, Vintage Car show, Vintage Tractor Convoy and not forgetting The Cornamucklagh Lovely Girl and Bog Man Competition are still on the agenda.
Based at the most northern end of the Peninsula this weekend has become a firm favourite with families from both side of the border. Raising huge amounts for charity, it continues to attract bigger crowds every year.
At a time of year where there is festivals galore, this is certainly one not to be missed especially if you’re looking for some family fun and plain good craic!
